I think that is about what I paid for mine. I purchased mine last year off Amazon after the coupon deals ran out.

Seems like a lot of amp ( good features) for the $$!

(I got a very similar deal last Cyber Monday for a Supro Blues King 10- just cool to see some cheap options out there)

Shame they aren't available here in the UK. Look like really good little amps. When my laney cub 12r dies I'll get the thomann version, which looks pretty much the same.

Cheap tube amp that sounds good, doesn't weigh too much and gets loud enough to play pub gigs - what's not to like.

I think Thomann has the same amp, but for Eur power.

A couple of drinks, a 10-pack of Sharpies, and a few hours.

    Problem solved!

So, I managed to avoid temptation in buying this amp. It looks cool and the price was right, but I SERIOUSLY don't need any more amps.

I was much less successful in avoiding picking up their multipattern tube mic for $172 shipped, though. And I REALLY, REALLY don't need any more mics.

I checked specs, and I think it was 26 lbs., which sounds light. - but the amp looks compact

My Blues Jr., which is tube and a 12" is about 31 ( now with Neo mag speaker)

My Supro BK 10 ( tube amp with a 10" ) is 28, which is very sturdy ( real wood cab, I think)

Deal changer. I'd look for a used Blues Jr locally.

Mine is in transit, tracking says it will be here tomorrow but I'm doubtful with all the bad weather last week, but we'll see.

    My Monoprice amp arrived today.
First impressons are that it feels solid and it looks nice. I'm not real crazy about the black grill cloth so I may change that out to some maroon, or another color at some point. It's compact and light, only 28 lbs on my digital scale.
I played my PRS CE24 and my Strat through it at bedroom level, I like it so far. The clean tone is good, I also like the 1 watt setting.
And the reverb is decent , the tone controls and what they call tone (presence) all have good range.
I'm sure after a while when the speaker breaks in it will be better, I have a Celestion Lead 80 in a 1-12 cabinet, may plug it in to see what that sounds like.
Celestion 70/80 speaker and JJ tubes.
It seems like a lot of amp for $200 + sales tax, some effects pedals are more than that!

I just noticed in the picture that under the left top corner there was a glob of glue by the metal corner on the seam, I pulled that off and the tolex looks like the other side now.

I found another thread on here about these that’s 57 or so pages and I’ve read about them other places and I’m convinced. I’m waiting for the right discount code and I think I’ll buy one. I’ve been thinking about a Blues Jr for a while for a grab and go amp for jams and small venues but it seems to be agreed on these sound better and cost much less. I’ve got plenty of projects too now so I don’t want to heavily mod it like I would probably do a Blues Jr (I’ve never been impressed by them stock but have played so good sounding modded B-Jrs). I don’t mind putting a MOD reverb tank in (which everyone who has done it agrees it’s worth the $25 and 30 minutes to do it), put some better tubes in, which I have already, and maybe swap the speaker which I also happen to have several around to try. I don’t think there’s anything else I could get for $200 that would come close. It seems to be the same size and weight as a B-Jr from the description and if anything happens to it using it as a carry around amp I’m not out $500 to replace it.
