Great job Mom, and it's easy to see he loves it, and you
One lucky son.
Looks like you got a great deal. Keep us updated on his progress.
That 5000 watt smile of your son's warms everyone's heart! Those photos are priceless.
Very cool dkgershe. Having a tele can open a pandora's box, so if you have any new questions come around again.
Fantastic gift. Who wouldn't be thrilled?
Great job, Mom. Looks like you scored big time. That is a million-dollar smile. If you want, some of us can direct you to some good ear plugs or ear muffs, too, while he's working on the learning curve!
Thanks for remembering to post that priceless moment for us!
Nice job, mom.
Now he needs to be on this forum.
This one of the very few forums w/o swearing, illicit sex, drugs, etc.
Very clean here and a staff that keep it such.
I got to page 2 before I looked and saw the date was Sept., at which point I started hoping this would lead to exactly where it did!
Boy + Telecaster = Yay!
Yeah, with a little luck, we can steer him over toward the Tele Home Depot forum where we builders hang out. Then he'll start asking for power tools for his gifts, and taking over the garage or basement for a workshop!
Very sweet. Thanks for sharing.
A good mom buys her boy a Telecaster, a great mom orders him a set of Bill Lawrence Keystones to put in the tele Congrats on the NGD, good choice.
WOW!!! Beautiful guitar!!! That's one lucky boy mom!!! He should remember this come Mother's Day!!! Great job!!!!
I see no chance of that- but only because you will have to pry the guitar out of his hands first in order to get a power tool in! Perhaps someday…
Here is a little clip of the very first thing he played when he picked it up and plugged it in. Since you have all been so nice, I thought you might like to see.
But you know what the best part is? He has a SNOW DAY today!! Lucky lucky lucky!!!! I know what he will be doing all day long
Just read the whole thread. Glad you got the strap and case. If he uses it like the video suggests $500 would not have been too much to pay so you did extremely well.
Looks like you have a really great boy. Keep us posted on his progress, we like these stories.
The whole thread is heartwarming in every way. Congrats Mom! You did good!
very very cool! Those pictures of him opening it are great!!!!
Seconded that he should be on the forum. Happy NGD to your son.
Nice videos, Debbie...your son is pretty good!! I wish I would have been half that good at 14!
What are you using amp-wise? He was getting a nice tone out of his new Tele.
Awesome story, and it's great to see a parent really promote their kids' interests.
Kudos to you, and glad to see another tele convert!
Way to go, Debbie. The MIM is a great guitar that will last a good long time.
Debbie said back on page 2 that her son has a Vox Venue Lead 100 given to him by a teacher. Seems like a decent loud/clean type of amp, so now it's time to start looking at DIRT BOXES! (Sorry, Debbie, but it never ends.)
