    Hallo everyone,

I am kind of set on a Nashville Deluxe but I am also considering a Modern Player Plus and upgrade it with a 52 reissue wide range HB. From all the videos I watched this could give me the desired sound. I am not into the super twangy vintage sound (the shawbuckers 2 sound does not appeal to me at all for example) are there any alternatives or should I focus on getting a Tex Mex Pup Nashville.

    Any advice apprecciated!

The Nashville Tele and the MP Plus Tele are two completely different guitars. The pre 2016 Nashville has a alder body/21 frets/3 Tex-Mex pickups as opposed to the MP Plus pine body/22 frets/MP Tele neck pick up/MP Strat middle and not a real great HB in the bridge. Even changing the bridge pickup probably wouldn’t be worth it.

if I were you, I’d go with the Nashville. I have an MP Plus that I like very much for what it is, but you’ll probably never get an MP to sound the way you want, and end up hating it.

    Good luck.

my Nashville Power Tele with Tex Mex pickups is without a doubt, one of the best guitars I've ever played.

used the waybackmachine and got the specs from the Fender website directly, maybe this could be useful to somebody as well

Thank you for the info re 2016 DNT. I’ve been looking to confirm the spec’s on mine, particularly the PUPs, for some time as I didn’t feel the info Fender Customer Service provided was 100% accurate.

Bought one of 2019 Nashville Deluxes.
I had no idea that I preferred the 9.5 radius over the 12 radius so much. Sold it. Things one finds out about himself.
