I’m not a purist—never really have been.

However, I thought it was stupid when guitarists were butchering 50’s guitars to add a Floyd Rose (I detest Floyd Rose vibratos—most vibratos, for that matter—and those were non-reversible mods), but again, I don’t rail on and on about somebody taking a classic design and tweaking it for a new model or new guitar (jokes about the HM Tele aside).

I don’t like the guitar in the OP, but that’s ok. I’m not it’s target audience.

That’s why there’s different types of guitars and amps and basses and cars and jeans and boots and shirts and jackets. Not everyone is the same.

There are some take-offs of the Telecaster that I like:

Even the Telecaster Thinlines (‘69 and ‘72) Telecaster Custom, Telecaster Deluxe and the Offset Telecaster (all Fender variants of the Tele) are cool in my book.

A lot of people hate those.

That’s ok.

That's actually not too bad......BUT! What does the headstock look like? ;)
oops.....clicked on the link.....never mind!
The headstock looks pretty cool in white with black tuners. And I like the way the truss rod cover seems to extend the fretboard beyond the nut.

I liked both of them - the MIJ Talmans from about 8 years ago or so were really nice, but they had a tiny nut width that made the typical EBMM guitar neck seem wide by comparison. But beautifully playing guitars.

The Chandler Austin Special was another very cool guitar with a great sound - I got to play one back in the day through a used Marshall 25th Anniversary Jubilee 1-12 combo (the original version of the current 2525C model - maybe it had the same model number back then??); that was a fantastic sounding rig that was sadly out of my price range at that time.
