some people's animals err... children.
SD... you are a very keen observer, with a true eye for detail!
I can square that corner up quickly - or round the other one a bit. Easy tweak. Perhaps some day if I can't think of much else to do. Good catch!
Just play the damn thing!
"I got something you can play with…"
It's no big thing, brother.
Thanks, Cr, for stopping by. It's a fun project getting this cool guitar dialed in.
Hot Rod orange!
Yeah, man! Good call.
Yeah it reminds me of a racecar or dirtbike, great job!
Here's a different look. Upgraded Fender Telecaster 2019 Capri Orange Noiseless Pick Ups Cloth Wiring
To those who may still have any interest, decision made on this guitar.
After trying four different pick guards and four different neck pickups (Fender AlNiCo, Fender Twisted Tele, TVJones Classic, and Cavalier Lioness), the Lioness and the Mint guard earned their rightful positions on the Capri Tele! And, I decided to leave the asymmetric bridge cut-out on the Mint guard as is; I like the quirky detail of it.
Volume pot is 340k. Tone pot is 510k No-Load. Cap is Orange Drop .022uF. Tone has zing, sparkle, and squiggle. Amazing tone, really.
The orange and rosewood look beautiful together. Can't stop looking at
But with this neck pup it just looks so cool!
Wrighty, my man! Yes indeed. I do like the look of the Lioness with the open-top cover. Gives it kind of a cool twist.
heffus! Thank you, my friend. The looks of that body is what made me pull out my wallet. And, I just happened to have the American Pro rosewood neck and the pickups waiting in the wings. It all worked out. And sounds awesome.
Mixing Cavalier and Fender pickups - you need to reverse the wiring on one of the pickups to get the proper phase.
That's a great looking Telecaster. Love that color. Enjoy it for sure.
