Mimmo - worth every day of the wait and you're going to love it.

I'd bet yours will not take as long as mine did. I ordered a very specific custom neck from MusicKraft which took 4-6 weeks on its own to be made and sent to MJT. If you're going with a spec Allparts or something, I would bet that would shorten things up quite a bit.

Where did you go to get the nut installed? Looking for a place to do my next MJT.

Got the nut installed/filed along with having them put the whole thing together at Guitar Works in Evanston IL. Very good work but not the cheapest in town.

I think I'm going to keep an eye out on eBay for a nice bound body by these guys to swap out occasionally. Awesome work.

A 2+ year follow upon this old thread now that I just refound the link.....

This guitar is AMAZING! Still my #1 by a long shot and has logged probably 100 gigs in my country band since my last post. Just killer.

For those still considering MJT but maybe put off by their new "pregnant" headstocks, I say send em whatever neck you want, but get 'er done!

Yeah, I have one that i documented very much like yours:

    Love it to death!

I agree that their new necks just have a weird shape.

As they explained to me...they can sell an AllParts, properly-shaped neck. Or they can finish one that you've given to them. But I think they can't sell AND finish it, or something like that. Regardless, they're using slightly differently-shaped necks now to avoid licensing issues.

I'm glad mine has the right shape (TMO-V AllParts).

They do great work, and they're great dudes!
