Welp, I ordered a used Henretta Bluebird that arrived today. And I can’t stand it. It barely sounds like a fuzz to me, more like an overdrive. I messed around with the internal trim pot settings for “fuzz,” “tone” and “volume”, but it didn’t help. Tone sounds really dark despite being turned as bright as possible, and I dialed up “fuzz” as far as I could (it started to squeal and feedback at the highest setting) but it just sounds like a crappy overdrive pedal to me. Looks like I’m keeping the Fuzzolo after all...

Maybe keep an eye out for the Lovepedal Bonetender on those pop up sales they do.

Is there a Mooer or one of "those types" of mini in a Muff flavor?

Yeah, I might end up buying and trying all of these minis sooner or later -- the Lovepedal Bonetender or the Baltic Blue from One Control seem like viable options. Mooer makes the Triangle Buff, which I haven't played but I dig it in its EHX form. I've always used Muffs in the past, but wanted to get something a bit less scooped. But now I'm second-guessing since these other solutions haven't worked. (Though the Fuzzolo is at least 80% usable.) At this point, maybe it doesn't have to be a strict fuzz, just some kinda dirt box in a small enclosure. That has good tone. Apologies to any Henretta fans, but the Bluebird sounded like tripe (to me).

It's not a Muff though; it's a germanium Fuzz Face clone. I have the Mooer Grey Faze, which may or may not be the same circuit. Nice pedal.

I’m telling you, Baltic Blue could be your answer...

Perhaps I wasn’t clear... I have the germanium fuzz face and also the triangle muff clone, both mini pedals.

    I should've listened!

After rehearsing with the Fuzzolo in my current setup though, I'm starting to dig it more. I still may resell it on CL and look for a Baltic Blue, but the Fuzzolo will do for my band's upcoming tour. I just gotta be careful with my guitar's volume control.

EWS Little Fuzzy Drive is bad-ass, a future classic!
It is to mini fuzz pedals what the Ibanez mini screamer is to mini overdrives.
I tried the mini Ibanez 805, and it was ok, but I prefered my byoc triangle muff. The EWS LFD is my go to now. Its so flexible and sounds like a muff with a bit of distortion in the mix, as well as a fuzz face at lower drive levels. It doesnt do gated or splatty, and thats just fine with me!
