Mini Humbucker in the Neck - 250k tone pot?

I have a guit with 300k for minis. It sounds like I have a blanket over the amp.

I'd use 500k for both V/T and put a resistor in there so the bridge pickup sees a lower value when selected.
And both pickups see 250K in the #2 position when both are activated together.

It doesn't quite work like that. It might be 250K at the wiper, but the upper 250K of the pot is still in the circuit dropping half your signal.
Nah, that upper 250K is blowin' in the wind, out of the circuit, drops nothing, and has no effect. The tone pot is a variable resistor connection.
