If I do that it'll be flat white.
Not sure about that red decal on the headstock either.
I had a beat guard in my stash...not bad, even with the red logo
I think that black tele is really sharp. I love the black/chrome theme and the red lam line in the pickguard and matching peghead are nice touches.
Prices go up because of INFLATION! The US Gov. is printing money like mad to cover its insane debt. So is every other nation on the is planet.
Case in point, I must use high quality vitamin supplements (Standard Process) and they are NOT CHEAP. Two years ago they started issuing new price lists every 6 months. This year every 3 months with price increases in between.
They've increased recently (like a lot of other stuff), because income is up, buyers are on the prowl - but be patient. The supply is beyond a glut. They made many millions that aren't being used, sitting collecting dust. The supply-demand thing will stabilize when this transient runs its course. The $250 days may be gone for an unmolested specimen, so $300-$350 is a good target price for a good one. And that ain't much to pay for a darn good instrument.
I paid $429.00 for my MIM FSR Tele with the reverse control plate, it's selling for $699.00 now. What is the world coming to?
I'm keeping mine.
definitely keep it. i had a LPB '10 model that i'd upgraded pickups on.. it was sitting because all i was ever playing at the time was acoustics, so i sold it. got a decent price, but it did have a nice case and keystone pickups. kicking myself for letting it go in the first place. it was a really nice guitar.
what sort of things are you calling people?
unsure of your meaning
I sold mine for 500$, was upgraded with pickups. 450 is reasonable price for used one
A bit over $300 or higher for averageish. Closer to $400 (or more) for a dandy-not minty one. You may get lucky if they want a quick sale, and you swoop in.
Mine was (used) under $300 with Fender molded HSC in late 2009.
Perhaps my use of the word is outdated....i meant like fishing....or shopping....looking for.... Sorry if that wasnt clear.
Yes, I got lucky with the new-for-me Butterscotch! The local CL shows a similar guitar today for $500.
Also, locally, there are Classic Vibe Teles for 375-390! ouch.
I like the black with red!!
Just picked up today a pristine 2006 FSR Natural Ash tele (w/stock Tex-Mex pickups) including a Fender case for $400. Could probably have beat the seller up for a few dollars more off but I think it was a reasonable price. I’ve been playing it all afternoon an it’s a really nice guitar but a touch heavy (8.5# on my scale).
As far as Bajas, I had a line on a Baja (50s) locally a couple weeks ago for $550 but it sold before I could get the cash together. I’m looking for a 60s Baja but they are few and far between ... and usually 600+. I’m waiting as I expect the prices to fall. They’re still cranking these out at the factory.
oh, sorry, modern internet usage ranges from "being a pain in the ass on purpose" to way worse behavior, and that's how i read it.
well, some sellers may have considered my bartering as trolling. i was nice though, and ultimately, my approach worked. the guitar i ended up with, the seller had originally had listed for $600. another that i was interested in, was listed for $525. the seller finally caved by $30 in his asking price. he claimed that he bought it 'to sell' and had north of $450 in it. i want to know what knuckle head has that kind of cash outlay on a MIM standard and still thinks there's some meat left on the bone? cookoo
