Working on a couple of MIM Tele partscasters. The necks are MIM replacements. The Pau Ferro neck has a radius of 12 whereas the Roasted maple is 9.5. Odd thing is the factory nuts I pulled from both necks are seemingly identical, even the radius at the bottom of the nut appears to be identical. The nut slots on both necks are radiused and each slot appears to match its neck radius. I would think that if they were going to radius the nut slot, should bottom of the nut not match the radius of the neck? Or, do they radius them all to some other standard radius so they don't have to produce nuts in different radiuses? Anyone else ever see this?

Curious minds want to know :)

    Thanks
