Hello people my first post here.
I just bought a loaded mim fender Telecaster body and was wondering what fender neck will work with it?
Thanks ahead of time.

Pretty sure any Telecaster neck will work.

I recently got a MIM 60s neck and it is blowing me away. It's just thick enough, great fretwork. I have literally spent over an hour going thru emails and cannot figure out where I got the neck from or the actual specs, so sorry for being so non-specific.

Thanks, what would be a good profile if I like a thick baseball like neck?
Hmmm, max bat is the Warmoth fatback, I have one and there is none fatter!
The MIM Baja had fatter necks but some are V shaped so more deep and really not fat. I think there’s a new MIM U shaped ‘50 or ‘51 style that’s fat?
Allparts has a couple with fat at the end of the code which are nice.
MIJ Jerry Donahue model too.

Before the recent shortage of... everything..... MIM Fender necks were $229 from the factory. Nothing better really. Not sure how available now though. My local small town music store had them in stock.
Check The Strat-o-sphere on Ebay.

Hold on! Not so fast. Depending on what era of Mexico we are talking about, not every Mexican neck is interchangeable with US bodies and vice versa. I tried to mount a Mexican neck on a Warmoth body and it was a no go. The neck heel was slightly wider than the Warmoth neck pocket that was at vintage specs. Measure that neck pocket carefully and make sure that it is at US specs. Otherwise, you have problems. The Mexican factory may have changed that along the way, but at one time they were different.

Well, no. Heel widths are the same specs for MIM and MIA. Sometimes there are slight variations just due to manufacturing tolerances and mounting a spec neck to a spec body route may require some sanding of the pocket to fit things right.

Agreed re: the Warmoth Fatback, don't know about the others listed. The early 2000's Classic Series 50s Esquire (and I think the Classic Series 50s Telecaster also) had fatter than average necks.

I've also found that parts shrink when too dry and swell when normal or excess moisture returns.
Hung a Tru Oil finished body up in the hot garage rafters because the off gassing stink lasted forever. When I took it down and tried a MIJ Allparts neck, the pocket was too small.
Months later the body regained moisture, swelled to normal, and the necks all fit again.

Not to guarantee all necks fit all bodies, but some no go fits we experience are not because Fender makes incompatible Fender branded Tele parts.

The IS though I believe a Korean Fender Tele built with no overhang for the 22nd fret?
Same as G&L.
So those "Fender Tele" necks are truly different spec.
Might have been a different country but that model certainly exists and the parts do not interchange.

The Fender MIM 1951 Tele neck is baseball bat nocaster fat. I've used 2 of them on builds, about to use a 3rd one.
