here is a terrible pik of one I bought today. Liking it so far.
Hmm traditional bridge, did it come with that or did you swap it already? My Silverburst has a modern bridge.
I played one also this weekend and really liked it. I thought the finish was beautiful. Nicely done.
The best part for me though was the reversed control panel. I found it immediately the most comfortable I've ever been playing a Tele. I wanted to go home right then and get mine switched.
I think I will.
It looks interesting at best. IMO it looks like someone tried to do a sunburst finish and botched it.
I really liked the one played. seemed like a well made solid tele. i also played the red squier with a bigsby and it was HORRIBLE. Ireally like the new Blacktop stuff as well. seem to be well made and played well.i would consider buying a Blacktop just to have a tele with humbuckers. (ALso really liked the new mustang amps, but thats another thread)
The burst looks a lot more natural in person then in myblousy pic. I liked it but I bought the guitar for the way it played, I liked the 9.5 rad with decent size frets, and the way it sounded. It was pretty resonant . And after a little set up I really enjoyed playing it. By the way the saddles came with it. Only complaint is that it didn't come with case or bag. Don't laugh, but I also picked up a little fender mustang amp cause I moved to somewhere where it may be harded to play thru my normal set up and gc gave me 20 bucks off cause the guitar came with no case so the amp was 79 bucks. Not that it's the end all of end alls but it had a good sound for a little amp. So if your living in a apt !!!
Anyone know what pickups they used in the copper or silver burst?
standard MIM ceramic. very bassy.
I think we should withhold judgment on the looks until we see some good pictures.
I like the looks of mine. Sounds and plays great, too.

Mine was priced at $499.99 but I got $75 off. I had the Round Out Your Rig coupon but instead off making me pick $75 worth of gear, they just took it off in cash. Someone said it was regularly priced at $449? Where was that at?
Still waiting for a sparkle 'burst. How about a copper sparkle burst? All your major food groups in one finish!
What didn't you like about the bigsby squier? I love mine.
It looks neat but I can't get the blown sunburst look out of my head.....
I guess because I'm such a fan of sunburst, it looks like something is missing. If the buyer likes it thats all that matters.....
@BONES It may have just been the one that i played but the neck wasnt finished very well and i didnt like the frets. it just wasnt a good player. Its just like all of the other stuff, Hit and Miss. The one i played was a miss for sure but im sure yours is a hit.
looks pretty good to me!
me too i like it
Personally, I would LOVE to see this.
I know it is much-hated, but Antigua has long been about my favorite Fender finish.
I agree that some of the MIJ reissues from the 90s are way too "snotty green" but the original Antiguas are, IMO, classy and hot!
this copper is sparkle. it's total metal flake. so's the silver burst for that matter. they aren't like the vintage custom colors at all.
i grabbed a copper burst because it has the most insane flamed neck i've ever seen. unfortunately i got it home and discovered the flames came with their price: soft wood. the neck detunes when playing chords in the cowboy area if you wiggle the neck at all. you can strum an "E" and then bend it into an "F" with hardly any pressure. gonna take it back after work today. bummer.
Ever play with the Warmoth paint web page? Their antigua is more like a, oh, creamburst.
