Any love for this model (maple and rosewood versions)?

Are the big headstock and three bolt neck cool?

    How's the shape? Comfy?

I've got one and it is surprisingly nice...cool guitars. I also recently got a vintera 50's and I prefer the vintera but the 70's is cool.....I think I like both over an American standard

Big headstock Strats are my favorite Fender versions, at least aesthetically.

Personal preference would be aged white, black pickguard, and a hardtail.

I just got a Squier SQ made in 83 from a local pawn shop. I love the big headstock and the bullet truss rod.

These are great guitars. Assembled in Japan from US made parts as I understand it.

I don’t own one but I tried one many years ago. The neck shape felt nice and full - not nearly early 50s Tele style but a bit fuller than 60s reissue Strats. It sounded nice and the build quality so far as I could tell was also good.

I also tried out a Vintera 70s Strat last year and that one was ever so slightly nicer to hear and play.

When it comes to Strats, I prefer the smaller headstock aesthetically and usually the late 50s reissues for tone but YMMV.

I used to not like the big headstock. Now I do. And for a long time I thought it was the only headstock shape Strats had. LOL. At first I didn't like the smaller headstock shape. But now I just like them all. Actually, I like them better than a Tele's... I don't know why. Well, one reason is there is more real estate for a clip on tuner. LOL.
