My take on #1 (Redux). Somebody must have copyrighted the 1-4-5 pattern as YouTube found a Copyright claim o_O:

Update:

Checked last week's version "Demolition Blues" and that had no issues on YouTube. My solo must have been copyrighted .

Cool tone and I appreciated your unrushed feel. I liked the delay also did it have duck on it, as it never seemed to overtake the lead and the reverb also seemed to be there and not to be there… hey I wonder if Shakespeare played guitar, or lute, lyre or cithern, What am I talking about he must’ve played a wind instrument! Duh.
Thanks, really appreciate that but what is this duck you speak of?

Nice riffs and licks, Alan. Reminds me of Mike Bloomfield meets Albert Cummings.

Thanks, I've recovered enough from my worst bug bite, I was totally lethargic for three days and the bone in my foot felt like it was broken.

I have always been a huge Elvin Bishop fan, I have his slide that flung off his hand. And most of all I love what he did with Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield. East West was my FIRST listen to a looong instrumental "jam", they were the first that really made it happen, then came Jimi and Cream and they learned the East West lesson with their long jams.

I think of IFAAFIL as Bishop's retirement money song. He deserved it.

This is East West, a turning point in the history of rock guitar and bands. Iconic
Enjoy,

Elvin takes the opening solo and Bloomfield comps. Then Bloomfield takes over the lead till the end of the tune and Elvin is brilliant in his comping.

And if you love Fender amp tone.

Thanks for the track(s)!

This challenged me in a good way to look at some things. I played a few takes, hard to execute perfectly, so this one ain't either, but it felt good so here we go:

I like your lines but I don't like the noisy pedal, it needs a noise gate. Less gain overall would also be nice.
The playing was better than the effect.

I think number one was the same than last week's #2..

Anyways, played it again.

Sorry about the buzz 'n hum, I was playing with fuzz face / volume knob (main guitar) and slight changes playing position made it worse too at times.

And levels.. depends how I'm listening them. So not sure overall.

EDIT3: I took it into Audacity, some noise reduction, less bass frequencies and then compressed some. Less HiFi, but perhaps more clear. Dunno these things..

Playing blues by feel, you had some nice stabs at it. Total feeling. Let it bleed.

Thanks, I used GarageBand on a Mac for this, when adding a track you have the option of adding the piano roll and vsti's. I used a mouse to hit the keys. The 335 was for Elvin who turned 79 recently.

Ah, cool, thx for filling me in. I got a nice weighted key Roland from my Buddy, who pulled it from the electronics recycling trash bin up in Tehachapi, where he lives. It has one almost unnoticeable chip on the side and it works perfectly. I’ve put parts on one chord at a time by pecking it out as it runs by on my looper, as my Piano chops are pretty nonexistent. Hoping to practice that more this year.

I don't know why it keeps posting it this way---it takes you to the page where all the music is, granted the song is at the top but I'm not trying to shove everything down anybody's throat! I apologize! I also apologize for having the wrong saddle on that telecaster and it won't intonate, but it's still Raucous and fun to play!
Edit it's my tobacco Burst tokai LP sharing the Harmony on the intro, as you can hear it stick out. On the outro Harmony I think it's the same telecaster but rhythm pick up on one and lead on the other, although there's a lead pickup in both front and back!?

I feel so bad for Alec Baldwin

Cool track really dark and lots of mood but what about Alec Baldwin did he get pink eye or something cuz I saw that movie and he doesn't wash his hands after the bathroom. Actually might have been a couple different movies.

Oh, ha, ducking...that 'effect' or maybe better said an addition to the effects, usually reverb and delay, where a threshold is set and the effect is noticeable when that threshold drops down, so it's more noticeable when you stop playing or you are playing softer. Really cool when you don't want to be swamped in the effect.

No, on a movie set he was given a blank gun from a guy that said it was clear, had no charge. Alec shot the gun and tragedy. Sad,

My playing was moody? Good. Thanks

This is really busy it's the second song before the last take of this early morning before I went to sleep. I may post the last take just for fun- you can actually hear me falling asleep in the middle of the solo and then it just goes blank till the end. This is mostly the sunburst tokai with both pickups blended in different degrees. Edit_I actually think this is telecaster in the beginning well it's both guitars, but I think the Les Paul takes the solo on the outro.

Graceful and pretty harmonized song melodies Lawrence. Sweet!
