I was feeling more Mixolydian.

I should have added more tracks to this, but I spent way too much time on it as it was. I really wanted to grab my pedal board, but instead I just used the YGL-3A again, dimed. Echo was added in Garbacity.

Thanks! I'm still listening though everyone's posts. I liked the addition of some minor pentatonic in your take on #4. I liked @bullfrogblues's tone and tasteful playing on that one too. Then, I got to @bigbreak's take on it and thought, "Well he just blew us all away." Nicely done sir!

I was intrigued by #2. Kind of made me think of Wired era Jeff Beck. The bass level on that track was a bit much though, and I was feeling more Mixolydian.

#1, Golden Lady.
This song is HARD to blow over. The abrupt key changes right in the middle of phrase/bar structure make it quite the challenge. Good practice though!
*There is a glitch in the BT at 3:10. I thought it was me being sloppy but after soloing my track and not hearing anything weird I realized it was on the backing track.



I used a Gretsch 5420 (in the SC pic) for the lead and a Squier 'Cyclone' for the rhythm.

You did great, it's a harder tune than Stella due to his brilliant random harmonic sensibilities, seriously it's brilliant writing.

This was a hard song and well worth the time learning it. I couldn't take my eyes off the chart, it was my life raft, rubber with a hole in it. Hard to play a solo with my eyes glued to the page.

it's my 68th bd today and I spent the day with my son 1+, then at 4 I started Golden Lady and just finished now at 9, 5hrs.

This was a hard song and well worth the time learning it. I couldn't take my eyes off the chart, it was my life raft, rubber with a hole in it. Hard to play a solo with my eyes glued to the page.

This is #4. Casino, bridge P-90, which can be nasty or sweet depending on how it is dialed in. Here it is sweet, inflected with tremolo. I wanted to try Golden Lady, but if @klasaine and @ASATKat say it's hard, it's too hard for me.

I like it just the way it is. The band is plenty full.
Plus you need nothing distracting your wonderful playing imo.

I think I leave too many windows open and that might be leading to my problems loading up the right links.

I've been having troubles with my hands so I can't play a bunch and post them in the same reply, but should I just keep editing and adding them in to my same post, as I finish them, is that even/still possible? Is it better that I just wait over a couple days and add them after completely finishing all at the same time or does it even matter? Thanks again and these are really getting better and better all the time the quality of the backing tracks and the quality of people's additions/playing / ideas....
