I have some appointments tomorrow so posting this now.

It's a short country backer. Have fun with it.

    Thank you Mike,

I tried to get a Fender Princeton tone on my Katana. I had no reference amp so the comparison is more like what I think I remember when hearing one, many times, at best it would be a Princeton with a 12" with a slightly heftier power in the sound.

Here's my take, a little sloppy slide on my Epiphone SG Special.

@SbS - The effects gave it some cool character and spunk.
@Alan L Cole - Nice phrasing and playing/visuals in your take.
@ASATKat - Some nice creative lines and liked your dynamics.
@bgmacaw - The slide works well here with good tone throughout.
@Mjark - Well played from the get-go. Cool riffs and licks double stops.

Wasn't happy with the 1st and made a 2nd one.. cleaner, more straightforward.

@SbS Man, I dig the tone you got on your second upload a lot. Really nice.

@Alan L Cole really nice outside lines and use of dissonance to create tension.

@ASATKat Some sweet double stops and a little bit of a western swing influence accentuated by your effects.

@bgmacaw Cool slide work. I can't play slide to save my life but i really appreciate it when others can.

@Mjark Dude, you played the hell out of those changes.

@fendrguitplayr Yours had a Bakersfield/Buck Owens/Don Rich vibe. Well played.

Country is probably the genre that intimidates me the most, and here you can tell lol. I totally lost the beginning of the track and was playing catch up the rest of the time. I hope videos are alright, don't have a PC with a DAW at the moment.

It sounds country to me. Your playing is like vocals telling a story, nice slide too!

Don't be intimidated, be inspired - that's some cool outlaw country riffage!
