    My dad had that song as part of his gigantic big band and swing music collection. It was a very eerie feeling whenever the sound of it came wafting up from his basement music room...

    The great Al Bowlly. Wonderful song and wonderful crooner. Sad how he died. I read somewhere that Bing Crosby got his singing style from Al.

    I’ve seen that movie so many times and didn’t even know that came from a song...

    Edit- Guess it didn’t. I thought you meant those words came from the lyrics but I guess not. Time for bed...
