A little Bossa Nova/Bluesy/Jazz thing. Have fun with it!
Nice one. I'm going to get the Guild out for this tomorrow.
My intent was to record the first track with lots of space for a second guitar. I even set up the tele to record a second track. But when I listened to it, I decided it was really chill just the way it was. Casino neck P-90.
Nice jazzy riffs, good tone, and good feel throughout. In this video, you moved your hands! I used to have a Guild with a single pickup like those. It was a non-cutaway acoustic archtop. I loaned it to a kid who lost it when he moved. It was kind of beat up but it sounded good.
Tele Neck Pickup
@Mjark - Nice warm tone with that guitar and cool phrasing, lines and dynamics.
@guitarsophist - You chilled it nicely with space and good riffs and tone throughout.
I think the neck pickup on a tele is great for jazzy stuff! Nice tone, fast runs, and octaves.
Thank you Mike:
Using the '84 MIJ Squier Strat for this one. Neck pickup. Then I couldn't help myself - had to hit the bridge pickup and add a little Cousin Kenny/Marty Stuart tribute for the ending. Ha!
@fendrguitplayr - thanks again for another fun track!
@Mjark - fantastic tone and playing. Dig it!
@guitarsophist - Good call on no 2nd track. Not needed here, as you delivered what was needed. Great tone and playing!
@fendrguitplayr - nice tone on that neck pickup indeed! And tasty playing to go along with it - single notes, octaves, nice runs. Great!
@Alan L Cole - nice soulful playing. What guitar are you tracking with? Has a nice tone. I like the chords you put in there starting around 2:25.. nice contrast/abstract.
Far from happy with my take – there were many more things that could have been attempted and sounded good – but too tired to do another one. Good night gentlemen… it will be a pleasure to listen to your takes!
I went for a not-really-thought-out one-and-done this time on the Gretsch hollowbody.
Quite nice Alan! Nice phrasing and dynamics and those chords you used over the bass/drum part worked well.
Nicely played with fluent runs and phrasing. Tremelo worked well and cool outro!
Nothing here not to be happy with Radio. Creative ideas and cool pickin' throughout. Nice!
I've been entertaining my grandson most of the day today. Sitting on the floor. The kids are cleaning out their house closing is Friday. There's no furniture left. I'm sore! But my ears are ok.
You didn't need it. Love that guitar.
- You hit all the right spots.
- Alan nice, great feel, tone an chord work.
- Ha! That was fun.
- Beautiful stuff. I'm happy with it!
Sometimes the "not-really-thought-out" works well and brings out creative muse as proven here, Kevin.
@Mjark - Awesome tone as always Mark and sweet Bossa Nova-ing!
@guitarsophist - Jazzy and definitely chill GC. Nice turnarounds too.
@fendrguitplayr - Nice tone and cool laid back and sweet riffin' Mike. Nice octaves.
@f69tele - Beautiful tone and playing f69tele. Sweet tremolo too. Awesome! The guitar I used on mine is the one in the song pic, a '74 ES-325 with mini humbuckers. The chords are G 6/9, D 6/9 and C 6/9, with minor 7ths in there. Thanks for the kind comments. Edit - Oh, and I finger picked it; that helps my tone.
@RadioFM74 - Beautiful jazz performance and recording RadioFM. Dig your sweet playing. Awesome!
@knh555 - Another beautiful track. Great tone and emotive feeling Kevin. Love those sweet whammy dives and chords. Awesome.
You guys are killing it.
Very nice tone and good minor .blues playing
