I love a mid hump in my overdrive. Say what you want, but I can't get enough of that tone. I also hate loosing the nice bass and crystal highs I get from my amp when I kick on an overdrive. I just switched from a Fulldrive to a JHS Moonshine. The moonshine isn't as nasty as the Fulldrive was, but I can still sense a loss in the bass and highs when I kick it on. Is there a pedal that gives me a nice mid boost without sacrificing the low end and highs I get from my amp? I guess I'm not really wanting something super transparent.

Pedals I've looked at:

Analogman Modded TS9
Analogman Prince of Tone (not sure if this will give me what I'm looking for)
Wampler Euphoria

Cheers!

Could be worth trying a Boss SD-1w in custom mode. Fulldrive has its lineage in the SD-1 - the Waza pedal is a very good version of that sound. Custom mode on the Waza keeps a little more low end with plenty of nasty mids.

Mid bump without losing lows or highs? You have to chose one or the other.

Maybe a Mooer Blues Mood (really good Bluesbreaker clone). Seems to lose less lows and push different mids than a TS, to my ear.

Stage 1 of the Fulltone PlimSoul has a nice mid-bump and the overall frequency range still comes through in a pleasing way, IMO. This video might give you an idea, although Marty doesn't open the Hi-Cut up enough to show how bright it can get.

MXR Custom Badass Modified (M77). Slight TS mid bumb but also controllable bass boost. Additional "boost" mode that really delivers a mid push.

The Seymour Duncan 805 is a "high fidelity" tubescreamer clone with a(very nice)3 band eq. So you can Taylor your mid hump that you like, and boost or cut your highs and lows to your hearts content. I don't imagine I will ever get rid of mine. Also, it can be run from 9-18v which gives you some control over the headroom.

TC electronics Mojomojo overdrive. Check out the reviews. It's sound just like what your looking for. $45 at MF. Amazing price for a great pedal. Active bass and treble controls. Like a high end bad monkey at the same price. I don't know why they're priced so low but I'd pay 3 times the price.

Your needs are a bit contradictory.

You might want to see if there are any sparkle drives around your area.. Used to be a big pedal around here. It is essentially a TS variant with a clean blend that can bring some of the orig highs and lows back.

Otherwise, a bad monkey may also be a good guess because of its eq.

You might try some of the various Dumble sims out there. A lot of them have a stretched mid hump with more highs and stronger low mids than a TS. Regardless of whether they sound like the amp, most are a pretty good compromise between a TS type OD and something with a flatter EQ.

Check out a Way Huge Green Rhino mk4.
Comes with two pots for +/- 12db in 100 and 500 Hz.

Awesome pedal, I love it!
