Around about the time of the release of 'Play don't Worry' Mick Ronson appeared on the Old Grey Whistle Test, and did a version of Angel #9.

As always, its a pleasure to hear & watch him play, and watching this again now I'm struck by the fact that he gets all that lovely tone out of a LP, a couple of pedals and an AC30. All while wearing what looks like his mother's blouse...ah, the '70's...

    Ronno’s the best.

I love how his guitar always seems just a little bit out of tune, but his playing is so raw and sincere that it doesn’t matter.

What day can't be improved with a little bit of Ronno?

    Thanks for finding & posting

    Yes! Yes! Yes!

I had no idea who Mick Ronson was 12 months or so ago (even being a somewhat Bowie fan, who reads the album credits?)

Since finding out I saw this video and watched it countless times

    What a player

That's 'Whispering' Bob Harris, who hosted the Whistle Test through most of the 70s.

Love Ronno's version of this tune. I attempt it at times, but my wife isn't fond of the volume (I'll run it through a speaker soak, but it's not quite the same as sheer volume)...apparently she can't grasp the concept of a speaker moving air, all sounds "the same" to her...She mostly loves to hear me play, though, just not loudly
