Once again,
For us cheap/good guitar folks,
Here is a nice '66-style Epi SG, $299!
( if you get blue; Black & Burgundy $499!)

This ( except the newer headstock shape) is pretty much spec-identical to my 2018 SG Pro ( the woods, bling, pickups/controls, hardware), which is a heck of a good player- the pickups are clear and dynamic, and I use the coil taps...

I have one in Sparkling Burgundy and love it.

I think they may be discontinuing the model.
Just me,
but after years ( long time ago now) of buying and trying various Epi Les Pauls, and semi-hollows ( NONE with pickups & pots as good as current lineup),
it turns out that an SG ( with lighter, thinner body, fast neck...) was the perfect 'all purpose-Gibson' for me, a mainly Fender guitar guy.
( I play sitting down/bad back, so I like light/small guitars)

I feel like I can pull out great classic Gibson clean & dirty sounds out of this SG! ( as well as very cool coil-tap tone)

Same! I picked up a used SG Special for under 3 bills and loved it so much, I grabbed a matching Trad Pro when on sale for 4.

I keep thinking of buying another to put some filtertrons in.

I'd jump on today's deal ( like the color, too!), but I can't spend any $$, now...

I got the gold one when they had them for $329. I'm impressed with the quality.

Definitely worth it, if you're looking for a reasonably priced SG.
.
I am not usually a big fan of gold, but that one is amazingly beautiful. It just works.

The blackish one is really more of a dark grey with lots of metallic shimmer in there. I tend to favour black pickguards but I think a white one would be a nice contrast for that one so it does not just look like plain black.

Swapped the black pickguard on mine for a cream one and added a Bigsby.

Haven't decided if the Bigsby will stay or not...
