Merry Christmas - we’re just waiting for my sister in law and her husband to join the family bubble - dinner about 2 hours away.

Merry Christmas String Tree. Last night we watched Ralphie and the tales of the old west in Cleveland!

    We had a great Christmas.

My sister and BIL came over for dinner and we feasted on standing rib roast, great sides, and pies.

I used ZOOM for the first time. I couldn't get the laptop with camera working - Windows decided to update and it took over 1.5 hours. I was audio only on a headset, but it was fun chatting with my niece & her husband and my nephew & his wife.

I'm contemplating purchase of an expensive (read gamer's) webcam that my niece was using, but now that I have the laptop updated, I'll have to try that first.

Though we were all instructed to stay at home to be safe, I visit my sister weekly and so far we've stayed healthy. We mask up and do our best to use social distancing.

I hope you all had a happy Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate the winter solstice with.

We watched Elf and laughed all the way through. It’s still funny every time we see it. My daughters laugh as hard as I do.

I don't think I've ever watched it, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks!

It might be an acquired taste. Will Farrel is the main character and he does a lot of stupid stuff. My wife thinks it’s dumb, my daughters and I think it’s hilarious. My wife makes sure to record it for us every year so we can watch it. So she only has herself to blame.

People say you either like things or you don’t, like cool jazz

But Will Farrel was definitely an acquired taste for me
Used to annoy they heck out of me and I figured him a cheap Belushi Farley knockoff, then I saw a semi serious film he did and I couldn’t stop watching it

Now Elf is on my annual movie list

Sometimes those it’s so dumb it’s funny types take a while to sink in

He’s still an acquired taste for me. Elf is his only movie I can stand to watch. But I watch it religiously.
