Much snow in the video, which seems quite on-brand for Keef. ;)

People need to stop remaking this song, and Blue Christmas, Jinglebell Rock and Rockin Around the Christmas Tree
You cannot improve on the originals

ALL Christmas music, besides Mel Torme/Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song” and Cheech & Chong’s “Santa and His Old Lady” should be permanently banned from airplay.

...and those two should only be played twice a year, on December 24th and 25th.

Huge Chuck (and Keef) fan, but Mr. Dave Edmunds nailed that tune as a cover.

IMO, “Blue Christmas” is such a good song that it almost transcends the fact that it is a Christmas song. Meaning, it would be appropriate to play it anytime of year. It’s one of his best songs.

It’s insane that Christmas is commercialized enough to write music for, then record, print, and distribute hundreds of different albums for every year...

Yet apparently not commercialized enough to write more than 6-10 songs for... So we get remakes of those same 50-70 year old songs every Christmas season.

Not a big fan of X-mas music.

My favorite X-mas album is an old John Fahey solo guitar recording, where he plays 25-30 X-mas standards.

    It is very Simple...

    and Beautiful!!!

I'll take the original Chuck Berry version, any Elvis Christmas music, and Petty "Christmas All Over Again". I got to see Brian Setzer's Christmas show a few years ago and that was pretty great.

Not much a fan of Christmas music outside of those. Wife and kids can't get e-damned-nuff of it, so I have more than had my fill this year already.

I concur. Perhaps we could also have a moratorium on cover versions of Wicked Game and Hallelujah too?
