Can't beat home made burgers. You can tailor the ingredients to your preferences, like no restaurant can(or would want to).

That should work out nicely...the beef will help temper the stronger flavor of the hot sausage without killing it. You can also use ground turkey to good effect...i've done 1/3 beef, 1/3 pork and 1/3 turkey for 'balls with nice success, too. The pork portion is generally ground sausage so it has some form of additional flavoring.

I have some straight ground pork that I have used before with good results . I thought that I would give the hot stuff a try once . It worked nicely . I had my meal and it was good .

My son’s wife uses Jimmy Dean sage sausage and hamburger half and half, don’t know if she adds any other spices. They are excellent. I’m sure your recipe is delicious.
