I made my 3rd trip to Jack's Music in Conway, Arkansas and came home with a Taylor 412, khaya back/sides, sitka top, pinless bridge. I have played this guitar for 25 years, hundreds of hours and many many gigs.

It has played Happy Birthday for my grandchildren and at the funerals of friends. I will never sell it.

You play 'Happy Birthday' at funerals? That's unusual.

But seriously, it sounds like a great guitar and hopefully you can enjoy it for another 25 years.

    Cheers

I think it’s like a canoe or something...

A cursory Search leads me to believe it’s African mahogany

The 400 series was mahogany until 1998, when they switched to ovangkol, and, more recently, they also started offering the 400 series in that or in rosewood. IMO, the rosewood 414 is the best bang for the buck in the Taylor lineup, and I've played a ton of Taylors, 'cause I worked at the #1 Taylor dealer here for 14 years.

With that back story and your feelings towards it there has to be some pictures to share. Come on now, it's TDPRI, pics are a requirement. Haha. Let's see it!
