Mashed potatoes! One of my favorite foods and one of the first kitchen chores my Mom taught me how to do when I was very young.

As with mashed potatoes, the delicious-ness of polenta is directly proportional to the amount of butter added IMHO!If you don't like mashed potatoes, you should try polenta. That thing is awful. Or maybe i haven't tried the good kind.
My wife really liked mashed potatoes, I did not. I can eat them, but not a favorite of mine. In fact since she passed, I have not had any.
I normally have baked, fried or boiled and parsley's potatoes.
Two pages and not a single word about gravy?

Today I am making a rump roast, something else I haven't eaten much, but because of price. I have decided to make mashed potatoes. The good news is I can change my mind at the last minute and just dump parsley on them and leave off the butter and milk.
We'll see. Either way, add green beans and it will be a good meal.
Of course there is always garlic and bacon potatoes.
We went out and ate breakfast this morning. I had an eight oz steak medium rare with hashbrowns, eggs over easy, a VERY large biscuit with a bowl of gravy on the side. I've gotten to where I only like a baked potatoes with all of the trimmings, or hashbrowns. Momma made some potatoes, green beans, and onions with some bacon the other night, and I ate it, but I don't much like boiled potatoes much anymore. with the tip, breakfast ran just under fifty bucks. My wife really liked mashed potatoes, I did not.
