& here I was thinking that with Marinovich it was all about him being a ranga
I find it interesting that no one from the Tri-State area is posting on this. Is there really that much interest in the Jets around the country?
Marihuanavich was a moron who sabotaged his own career because he couldn't wait until he was done with football to start sucking the bong.
A preview of Jamarcus ( Purple Drank ) Russell
( who wants to "come back" now. He must be running low on the money he stole from the Raiders)...
Sanchez just isn't that good on the Jets, but I've never heard that he's that stupid...
If I was in charge of the Jets, I'd play him this season.
They're not going to win much this season, anyway.
They owe him a ton of money whether they cut him or not.
The rest of the O is not very good, let him take a $12M beating this year while they make the run for a
better draft, and let the rookie watch and learn without getting his ass kicked on a regular basis.
Then cut him after the season, when they won't have to pay him.
If by some miracle he snaps out of it and plays well, then he might be actually worth something in a trade...
Just a different take on it.
it is insight like this that helped the US overcome the German attack on Pearl Harbor in WWII
Poor performance, poor results, and if he gets fired tomorrow he still collects millions from his contract. Now that's the kind of job I need.
The Jets are the clowns of the NFL. There is no bigger joke of a coach then Rex (we will win the superbowl this year I promise!) Ryan. Whether he is sucking Toes in a video , giving the finger to fans, or displaying the Tattoo of his favorite Latin QB he is just a moron. The Jets are so bad that there own Team Mascot , Fireman ED Quit! J-E-T-S Suck suck suck!
I think the Raiders might have a fight about that.. they would lose (they are the Raiders, right?) but they would argue that years and years of mismanagement can really tarnish a history.
And just the other day I was just reading the article, "Eli Manning calls Ryan Nassib, welcomes Syracuse QB to NY Giants" where he said:
I thought it was cool. Stay classy, Eli!
His coach should have made him play right-handed...they don't make left-handed pianos!
Oh, wait, that's not the subject, is it?
im from jersey and think the jets are hilarious! Go GIANTS!!!!
Thanks for that bit of helpful insight as well...
Always good to hear from someone with something of substance to contribute.
Absurdity and absurdity should mix... but doesn't always.
FWIW, I thought the Raiders were making sensible decisions in the 2013 draft. Used to be they would draft who evert had the fast run times ..... whether anyone could play football was not important.
The Jets may end up in the clown category all by themselves.
I bet the Jets could beat the Browns.
It's not that absurd to let the guy earn his $12 million somehow rather than showing him the door with a huge check for doing nothing.
Being a tackling dummy for a year to spare the rookie isn't the worst thing I've heard regarding Sanchez.
I don't think his contract is guaranteed next year
The Jets will probably cut him with an enormous payout and worse salary cap hit and get nothing in return.
They're gonna be bad this year anyway, why not go for the draft...
In other news - Geno Smith, upset that he wasn't drafted in the first round, fired his agent - is another head case on the way to the Jets?
Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan, Woody Johnson are the best things to happen to the Jets. Every non-Jet fan absolutely loves what those guys have done for that organization.
I used to laugh at:
- the Fake Spike,
- Rich Kotite winning only four games in two seasons,
- the Mud Bowl,
- the Gastineau penalty blowing a playoff game,
- the Ken O'Brien draft selection insted of Dan Marino,
- the Leon Washington halfback option on the goal line against the Lions; bye bye playoffs,
- Head Coach Al Groh choosing to coach a college team instead of the Jets....
But the hilarity from the comedy team of Sanchez/Ryan/Woody brings Jet comedy to a whole new level.
My objection was about just the off hand dismissal of human beings who have addiction problems and other mental issues. If one of our members had drug addictions and had to battle their demons, ended up homeless and worked to regain some semblance of a normal life after a childhood that was at minimum bizarre... well, that would be considered cruel and uncalled for.
It is easy to dismiss people we don't know and when we receive it, it stings and is hurtful (you felt it, right?) Imagine a total stranger doing that to you...
If you haven't seen the marinovich documentary... you might benefit from it...
Maybe today was National Missing the Point Day.
LOL. As soon as the Jets drafted him , he was screwed!
