Listened to it this morning!
^^^ Yep, got it in 8 Track when it came out.
I like the Pre-Grunge riffing in this song
I can't not post this
Homer and Grand Funk
Saw them at the Los Angeles Forum, while in high school when they were big. Some unheard of band called Black Sabbath opened for them. Sabbath stole the show.
^^^ Thats how I felt when I took my daughter and friends to see Blink 182 Headline, but I got to watch Bad Religion open for them and made My daughter a BR fan that night.
Bob, Don, Mel, Nokie!
I saw them a couple of times. The first 3 lp's were the best, although they were very similar. I think they were under pressure to put out product really quickly as everything sounded kind of similar. I liked Sin's a Good Man's Brother.
When I think of "Garage Rock" I always think of early trio Grand Funk Railroad. Those first 4 albums were just so basic, and for me, fun. First album my brother bought was the Red album. I still remember every note.
I loved em' in junior high!
I loved em' so much, I traded my All Things Must Pass box set for the Closer To Home album.
Anyways, Mark was a good singer, and they made a good noise.
Ya time machine !
I was just playing the red album the other day.
And I mean the album, the old original vinyl.
So many great guitar riffs and guitar tones from a completely crap guitar!
Those three guys captured lightning in a bottle for just a few years.
And their manager kept them in the poor house while lining his own pockets with gold.
Now he's dead, and Mark, Don, and Mel are still alive.
I wish they could bury the hatchet, and get together again.
Good playing, good singing.
