I used to fast forward the videos during his and Norms parts to hear the artist I clicked to watch in the first place. I don't know how he's going to encourage more purchases of Gibson guitars. I suppose he can suggest they stop coming out with hideous new finishes and silly gadgetry attached but they can get that advise for free by researching the general consumers reviews and forum posts.

Can you imagine him coming in here? "Hey all! I'm Mark Agnesi, from Gibson Guitars. I wanted to come in here and get some feedback from you all on Gibson as a whole and Gibson guitars as, well, guitars. What do you folks think we could do to make Gibson more profitable?" God, that would be so much fun!

Maybe it was just a threat that they're going to make some REALLY good Gibsons and competitors should be afraid?

He played some nice guitars but I was never impressed with his ability. Seemed like an OK guy. Too much BSing at the beginning of those videos to maintain my interest. That’s just me. I’m sure he’s a guitar Jedi or something.

Didn't they lose that body shape lawsuit with PRS?
If so, hard to claim rights to V, SG, LP, etc..
He was creepy on the Norm's videos. Now he's creepy and threatening?

The few bits I remember watching he was just quoting the usual sales spiel or giving a basic rundown on a certain year spec etc then noodling on some average cover. Not worth my time watching.

He wont be there any time.

Once the current investment co, ownership extracts all the cash they can
from the company and gets business going a little better than it was when
they took over, they will prop it up and have a new IPO.

Then the new buyers will hire their own staff.

a script that he probably had a lot of input on based on his job title.

I liked his Father’s Day video with Cliff Burton’s father. It was excellent.

Maybe he should re record the threat in Chinese.
Maybe Gibson could send him over to China so he can assemble a gang of thugs to pay the counterfeiters a personal visit?

They could film it and make a YouTube clip with a Big Trouble in Little china theme.
Get him a silky jacket with a dragon on the back. Maybe a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off.

He always seemed a little scared whenever there was a group at Norm’s, nervous eyes and then when he said something it’s like he was trying too hard.

I never really had a problem with Guitar of the Day or whatever it was called and how he was on those.

Being around the vintage scene for as long as I have, I’ve met a ton of guys like him so it was just like - oh, there’s another one.

I think that was a lame attempt at a "power play" gone horribly and uncontrollably awry.

Really hope Curleigh puts this guy in his place before he can do more damage.

Statement's like that are exactly what they do not need.

Why on earth complain about other builders copying you? Why not just build it better, and make people WANT to buy YOUR guitar over someone else's?

I mean why shouldn't Gibson make the BEST Les Paul? They should... and if they did, and did it somewhat affordably the other builders wouldn't matter.

Make your guitars better and more accessible just like alot of other companys have done and "knock off" builders will not even be an issue.
