Those are some cool facts! Some of the talking heads say that we like upsets early on for a bit of mayhem, but in the end, we want the bluebloods: Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, etc... not me! Screw those teams. I love this year's Final Four and hope we continue to see it play out like this going forward!

Another interesting UConn nugget... they've been to five Final Fours, and cut down the nets in FOUR of them! If they win it all this year (and they are favored at this point), they'll have won the championship in 5 of their 6 Final Four appearances, that's very impressive.
I'm with you on the bluebloods, get that garbage outa here! The same idiot talking heads also talk about how the NBA is somehow better when L.A. and N.Y. teams are competitive. No, it's not.

When K-State lost to FAU I was hoping FAU would win it all. Now I just want close games.

I'm pm'ing the mods. Every team I pull for loses. So I'm going to request I change my username to The Jinx lol

Congrats SDST for your diligence !

This is the most ymca final four in 50 years. The winner of the Miami UConn game gets to utterly blow out SDSU on Monday.

From Michael an SDSU student who won a school contest for all expense paid trip to the whole Final Four. He's the son of my friend and former coworker. What a great experience.

UConn is 16-0 against non-Big East teams this season and has won all of those games by double digits, averaging a 24.7 margin in its favor.
Holy crap! I don’t follow them as closely as i did when I was young. But I get updates regularly from my dad (especially about the women’s team). The men’s team definitely got hot this year at the right time.

Too bad about the bad foul calls and technical calls.
Hopefully someday soon something will be done. Officiating has really put a black eye on the men’s and women’s tournament but other sports as well. Just call things both ways. As someone who was an athlete I appreciate the human element. As the parent of a current D1 collegiate athlete I try to be neutral and obviously encourage respect and fair play.

K?

But the absurd notion that human referee who has devoted their entire life to reach the pinnacle of a sport and yet somehow doesn’t have a favorite or an opinion, that’s crazy. Every referee has heroes and villains in their sport. Because they are human and because they are fans of the sport. I wish governing sports federations would be more open about penalty reviews. Especially when it shifts the outcome. Today’s women’s game wasn’t lost because of a call. But absolutely SDSU won on a questionable call, not because it wasn’t a penalty, but because it wasn’t called for 58 minutes previously and that set the tone of play. Without question Texas was robbed of a game-tying possession by a call against Miami and 30 seconds later reversed the call.
Make it fair and I’m all for human officiating.

So tonight's Men's Final is on at 9:20pm EST, I'm going to be sleepy so I hope it is an exciting game! So I will announce the winner of our Challenge as soon as I am awake and then the winner can PM me with their address and the Grand Prize will be on the way! I have it boxed up and I didn't even play with it!
Thanks everyone for playing and keeping our little challenge alive and kicking!

I think LSU won because they dominated.

Every stat except blocks.

100% agree with you, but the officiating was REALLY bad.

Also, the officials need to do something about LSU's coach spending most of her time out on the court--while the game is live. Unbelievable. Hit HER with a T!
