Is there anything I should be aware of when choosing a b bender guitar when considering the fretboard wood? Maple verses rosewood of course. I am a country player.

I play B benders, and I prefer rosewood.
I don’t think it matters, I just generally prefer rosewood.
FWIW, I think maple looks, uh, cooler.

Often the capping will make for a stiffer neck, which might or might not be advantageous for that individual instrument. Sound, tone and dynamics is a combination of many things.
