All four of my Fenders (2 Teles, 2 Strats) are maple. All the rest of my guitars are rosewood except for two with pau ferro boards. I like both, but for some reason I associate maple with Fender.

I’ll take the buds for that. Boards, all m guitars are rosewood except for the Cabronita that is maple. I try to spread my time on the others but I leave the Cabby out most often.

I pile my maple leaves on the curb and the city comes and takes them. I don't know if they ever put them in bags or not, but I just hope they're used to make compost, or little biodegradable canadian flags.

As far as fretboards on a guitar, they're both good. They are a bit different in feel and sound, but don't really like one better than the other. Vive la diversité!
