Me at 8:30 p.m.: Sweetheart, please keep in mind that it's Father's Day weekend as I plug in my Les Paul for a little bit.

My wife: Man! Why didn't you play it while I was at the grocery, and save your new jazz guitar for now? I like the sound of that one.

    I love that woman to death . . .

All I got from that is that you stretched Father’s Day into a weekend?

One of my wives once said “Do you have to play that thing here, too?”
You are indeed a lucky man!
I may indeed be truly annoying.

Since “work from home” began for Mrs. German last year, and morphed into “laid off for indeterminate period” my playing had to be curtailed (at least my not-through-headphones playing). My favourite comment was when I switched to my semi-acoustic Danelectro—“you know people can hear that one, right?” :D

Seriously, though, she has never discouraged my playing. We don’t share stylistic taste, so I try not to inflict mine on her. Now that she has taken a job with a rotating schedule that only occasionally coincides with mine, and my playing is improving!

I have all of my gear in my basement/man cave, but I still rattle the walls upstairs. Especially when I'm playing either bass or the Paulie - I only pick that one up if I'm wanting to play some blues rock, and the DRRI just HAS to be on at least 6 or 7 in order to make it purr. Even with the BrakeLite, 7 can be heard outside on the sidewalk.

She's a much better woman than I deserve, and I feel like a kid with a crush after 14 years of marriage.

My wife went to town (10 miles away) to get me some coffee ice cream while I am still recovering from an urgent molar root canal two days ago. I was in so much pain during the past week, she kept her guitar and bass practice down to a dull roar.

I’m a chronic bachelor (unfortunately) but I love hearing about how some of you guys have found such awesome wives.

Sounds like you said "marry me?" to the right person
And, better yet, she answered "yes"

Good on ya - now, get that jazz guitar out & play until she drags you into the next room...

    Peace - Deeve

I love your wife too man.....wait. haha. Just kidding, but she sounds great and having anybody that is supportive at all means a lot in life. Nobody I'm around has ever been actually supportive with music. Way too long to go into.

I will say the only one who was supportive was my father who is dead and ironically today is father's day.
