I give them an "A" for creativity and entertainment quality of their pursuits in dodging work.

Probably how they got caught if they had to go somewhere else to pee.

It didn't say they were using it during their work hours.

A company I used to work for had a gentleman who was in maintenance and had access to all the storage areas. Apparently he and mrs. had a falling out and he decided to move into one of the storage units in the very very back behind a lot of big heavy equipment. The unit was temperature controlled and even had electrical outlets for plugging in equipment. It did not however have phone service. But this bloke was a very talented maintenance guy and he tapped into the neighbor's office phone line and he could even get into their office when he climbed through the roof somehow to use their bathroom.
He would have gotten away with it too had it not been for all those phone logs where the 1800 numbers were being called in the dead of night.

Cool...Grand Central Station and it's history have many, many "secret" places throughout the station, below and above the station. It makes for interesting reading. I spent a lot of time in and out of that station as a kid, a teen and an adult. Amazing and beautiful place. A must to visit when in NYC.
