You can get arrested in Texas for almost anything.

Why do people want to do that? I mean, my gosh, why ruin it for the kids. Just because your life sucks doesn’t mean you have to ruin somebody else’s. Get a life.

And then, in other locations or context, Santa'll likely be barred for his race, hairstyle, touching of children, involvement with Rudolph, you name it, etc.

Why is a church hosting a "breakfast with Santa"? Shouldn't it be "breakfast with baby Jesus"?

Christmas has never been about Jesus, given the fact that the entire celebration and much of the associated imagery were simply lifted en-masse from Roman and Germanic pagan winter solstice celebrations. As a Jewish person, I’ve always been somewhat bemused by the entire controversy around “the war on Christmas”, etc...

    No, he's really not.

I had written out a little history on xmas but I deleted it so as not to break the rules.

Well... it can be the opposite: Why do people want to do that? I mean, my gosh, why not telling the truth to the kids. Just because your life sucks doesn’t mean you have to lie somebody just because is young. Get a life.

Really? arrested? for telling the truth? ah, no, for trespassing

Well, for the 20 years that I was going to church, Christmas at church was always about the baby, not the fat man.

Jesus is just alright with me, I try to be alright with him.
Santa never visited this guy as a child hence the disbelief.

It Was always about Christ at Church and the baby part of the story is popular at that time. Now its about shopping it seems.

One of the problems with this topic is that we seem to forget that it's not the same for everyone. Sure, shopping is a big part of it, perhaps the biggest part by far. But millions of people in North America still make it about the nativity and not about Santa.

Arresting someone for that seems excessive. Do police have nothing better to do with their time?

Don't you have to believe in the baby?

I'm more interested that the guy feels the need to point this out to church goers. Does he have nothing else going on in his life?

I really think clickbait headlines are going to lead to our dystopian future.

You’re on someone else’s property. They tell you to leave. You don’t. That’s criminal trespass.

Santa has nothing to do with it. Neither does Texas, so keep your prejudice to yourself please.

If someone refused to leave your property, would you want the police to help you?

On the last day before Christmas vacation, our first grade teacher told us that Santa wasn't real. About half the class spontaneously burst into tears.
