Uncle Sam’s Oversized Canoe Club sent my P-3C aircrew to Furstenfeldbruk for an airshow to show off the airplane back around 1985-ish. My biggest takeaways were that the wiener schnitzel is probably the best dish I have ever eaten outside the U.S., and that for my tastes, the beer is overrated. Never had that happen with rum in the Caribbean.
