A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, with his pile of deer carcasses...

Well, there's usually more to a story than meets the eye. Hard tellin', not knowin'. Hate to see something like this up here, though. Well, anywhere, really.

Yeah I mean everybody knows it’s inconsiderate to let the deer carcasses pile up in the yard.

It sounds like he was stealing beer? Certainly not justification for a machete attack, but, sounds like there's more going on than we're hearing.

Well, it depends theyah. You want 'em good and ripe, befoah you fill yoah chum buckets foah the cod n' lobstah pots. Hahd to beat ripe vension chum.

Okay, seriously there may be more to the story, but the use of a machete really implies either pure rage or pure crazy. Yikes.

The big irony is of course that this is news here but in other parts of the world it’s too commonplace to warrant reporting.

In summer we get lots of seasonal workers from Jamaica.
More than one I’ve worked with had just such an attack in their family, and one even went home mid season after her BF / baby daddy was killed by a blade, then she came back to work a few weeks later.

I spent many moons up there at BIW, working support for Arleigh Burke, DDG1000 and LCS. My niece happens to be town clerk for City of South Portland. Her ma lives in Bath.

04A5EAA4-502C-4D59-ACFE-CAD1270832ED.jpeg Some years back it was a fact that Bath Iron Works was the only military contractor that consistently came in ahead of schedule and under budget.
Meaning the Maine workers worked harder faster and better than required just because that’s what they do.

In other news, Maine man repairs paint brush and keeps on working.
I’m building 26 four foot planters at home but painting them at one job site to install at another job site.
Brush is a couple of years old and I clean it well but the metal part was falling off so I pulled the nails and nailed it back together.
    Practicality rules!

Generally, Florida Man does not take a backseat when it comes to crazy, but that is a strong, very strong, showing by Maine Man. The fact that the incident arose from the theft of a six pack is the kind of lovely grace note I like to see in these stories.

    Moral of the story:
Be careful who you steal your beer from.

    Or

Beware of people with piles of deer carcasses.

Let's just say that if there's a Salem's 'Lot Bypass on Route 95 North/South, I'm taking it. Every time.
