Any layouts or guys who make boards for a Troubadour 213 or 214?

(yes Phil X is making me want to build one.)

I'd like one too if you please. The copy posted on schematicheaven.com is really fuzzy and hard to make out. The tremolo circuit looks interesting...

You're definitely in the wrong country.

Very few made, and most of the ones made in the US.

Thank again dude! I will put it to good use! Maybe the whole board can brainstorm and come up with a layout for that crazy rat nest style wiring.

Nearly bought a 213 at Christmas, had to buy presents instead. So there are at least a couple here in London, but most likely it would probably be an import. I'm just so broke at the moment. I suspect it will be a while before I get enough scratch together to get one from the States.

The Phil X videos have made me want one of these so bad. If I had the talent I'd ask for a schematic too. Does anyone manufacture a current copy or update of this amp?

Would like to know this as well... the clips I've heard so far are really impressing.. seems like a great amp to me for to play at home and smaller gigs..

    Yep...

"Complex" is how I would describe the tone...

    :)

I wonder how easy it would be to build an amp like this. I've seen a topic about the build of a 213 and apart from the dodgy wiring and layout, it seems to be a pretty simple amp. Guess the tremelo would be the hardest bit, but can't you leave that out? Or is it vital to obtain that sound...

    Thanks.

I just bought a a 413 Magnatone for under £300. I think it is very similar indeed circuit wise. So I guess that is a rough pricing guide. The Troubadour or Tonemaster may go for more due to the association with Phil X videos and generally being more well known.

And extremely rare. According to Phil X, Eddie Van Halen bought up about 100 of these and has them in storage, so that didn't leave many of these out there on the market.

The reason these amps are highly thought of is soley because of the vibrato, so if you want a magnatone then you want the heavenly vibrato circuit.

    IMHO, HS...

The tone of the 213 (Or Troubadour, Tonemaster, Lyric, Twilighter, Panoramic, or any of the other names it flies under) is what it is all about....

The Vibrato is the added bonus....
