Picking up this amp today in a partial trade - seems interesting and not as common as other amps from the time period. Red Crocodile oh baby! Below are two youtube links of the actual amp...

    Amp maintenance

    Speaker replacement

    Cool amp!

I really hope the Guitologist is doing ok. In the last video I saw by him he was having a crazy, conspiracy theory meltdown!

I hope he’s ok, and back to amps now, and not doing his poor man’s Alex Jones impression. It’s not fun seeing someone you really like loosing their mind live on the Tube.

Agree, worried he might have lost a bit of his mind... kind of out there to say the least!

So this is your amp? Did you buy it from him, or just have it repaired?

It's part of a trade deal I'm doing this afternoon, so no didn't buy it directly from Brad (Guitologist) and have never contacted Brad in anyway... just posted the amps history. The guy I am getting it from is the buyer mentioned in the video.

I had a Magnatone amp that had the exact same back panel except it didn’t say Ray Meany; it said ‘Starlighter’ if I recall correctly. Very rude little amp. Enjoy it!

I think they rebranded many of the amps, different covers/names/etc but inside they were basically the exact same amp.... never even heard of them until this trade deal.

Notice the grill cloth... it's basically window screen with paint over it.. that really couldn't have sounded that good until some of the paint started to wear off... how could the sound escape?
