    Gilmour "Take A Breath"
When you're down is where you find yourself
When you drown there's nothing else
If you're lost you'll need to turn yourself
Then you'll find out that there's no-one else

Funny, I thought it was 'Cocaine'. But I don't use either. You know what they say, "Rogaine, No Gain".

I just enjoy replacing the word "cocaine" in classic rock songs with "Rogaine".

you know I always thought that they were very under rated . They sang some songs like they were about some other than a paycheck.

She had nothing left to say so she said she loved me
I stood there grateful for the lie...
    Gin Blossoms, Lost Horizons

And a lip print on a half-filled cup of coffee that you poured and didn't drink
But at least you thought you wanted it, that's so much more than I can say for me...
Elvis Costello, Good Year for the Roses

You're vicious like the blue sky rIght before the rain comes pouring through
Tell me does he look like me at all? cause they're all an awful lot like you...
Matt Nathanson, Curve of the Earth

I watched her leave, my heart in flames
Fanned by all her other lovers' names...

Procol Harum "Still There'll Be More" :

"I'll waylay your daughter and kidnap your wife
Savage her sexless and burn out her eyes
I'll blacken your Christmas and piss on your door
You'll cry out for mercy....still there'll be more."

Now that your picture's in the paper being rhythmically admired
And you can have anyone that you have ever desired
All you gotta tell me now is why, why, why, why?

Elvis Costello, "Welcome to the Working Week"

Well, I remember when the lights went out
And I was tryin' to make it look like it was never in doubt
She thought that I knew, and I thought that she knew
So both of us were willing, but we didn't know how to do it

Why don't you tell me about the mystery dance
I want to know about the mystery dance
    Why don't you show me
'Cause I've tried and I've tried, and I'm still mystified
I can't do it anymore and I'm not satisfied

    Elvis Costello, "Mystery Dance"

Why do you talk such stupid nonsense
When my mind could rest much easier
Instead of all this dumb dumb insolence
I would be happier with amnesia

    They say forget her
Now it looks like you're either going to be for me or against me
    I got your letter
Now they say I don't care for the color that it paints me
Trying to be so bad is bad enough
Don't make me laugh by talking tough
Don't put your heart out on your sleeve
When your remarks are off the cuff

    Elvis Costello, "Riot Act"
