I am going to take a stab in the dark here and say that "open box" is really just a means to sell brand new guitars below MAP pricing.

66 sold and no feedback on any of the 66 just other items. Strange unless he's sold 66 in a couple of days.

I just don't have that kind of money to burn right now, especially if it's a scam, although the seller has 100% positive feedback. Agh, what to do.....

I'm going to guess his ebay account has been hijacked. The espresso machine listing makes even less sense. Their feedback is for bike parts not guitars.
As well there's a shortage of guitars, so where would someone who's not even a dealer get 70 plus open box teles of the same model?
and just happen to also have 50 plus espresso grinders as their only other listing

12 feedbacks in 6 months though, 633 in total.

I bought a nice Seiko Sportiva sailing watch from a seller that had 3000 + sales, 100% feedback and it was a fake.

About two weeks later the seller was just gone from Ebay. No notice of anything from ebay itself, just gone.

    Was pretty pissed.

12 people provided feedback to that seller - 1 in the last month, 11 in the last 6.

That price is less than half of what an AP goes for used; an AP2 would be at least 1000 pounds and very probably more like 1200 used / open box. New they are 1299 pounds.

    Smells very scammy to me.

Someone in a Facebook group I'm in spotted this a couple of days ago, although all the guitars had 'gone'.
Now it's relisted.... This has scam all over it, if it sounds to good to be true....

I would. Open box discount on a 1600 pound guitar is not going to be less than 500 pounds. And given Andertons has that specific model on pre-order with a 3 month wait I'd say having 70 plus open boxes is pretty unrealistic.

    Sold out.
So sad I missed on this good deal (the "good deal" being I'd only be out a mere ~500 quid as opposed to those people who tried to help that Nigerian prince get his money and lost thousands).

I wonder if any of those serials will match any of the stolen guitars from that big heist ?

I saw this last night and reported it to eBay. Username Mullical only sells bike related stuff. The Tele has the same serial number US20012214, and photos as the one on sale with the legitimate seller (absolute music) on sale for over £1500. I doubt eBay will do anything.

    Painfully obvious scam
US20012244 is the serial on the Fender stock marketing images.
