Back in the late 70's and early 80's I had a pretty good band in the Bay Area. And Jamie Riddick was my guitar player. I played too, but he was the better player and I always counted on him to get it right. After that group (and some others) he went on to play the part of Keith in a touring Stones tribute band for the last 10 or 12 years. He lived a stones throw from the site of the Buddy Holly/Richie Valens/Big Bopper plane crash. He had three great big huge Great Danes that he was crazy about.

I met him when he was a kid, not even old enough to buy a beer. He died last night from some heart condition. First one from this group to go... So in his honor I am posting this picture, which is the only one I can find showing Jamie and myself. Here he is playing a Les Paul through an Ampeg VT-22. Later he played a Telecaster most of the time.

We're getting to "that age" (whatever age it is that losing stage brothers/sisters happens at).
    Sorry it's happened to OP.
Great memories about LP & Ampeg signature tone (even at a tele-lover's site)
    Condolences - Deeve

Sorry to hear you lost your friend. I agree with the getting to that age where it is beginning to happen more often.

Please accept my condolences and prayers. I've lost some terrific friends who were musicians in the last ten or twelve years. It's never easy.

Condolences. Sucks being at the age where life stops giving and starts taking.
