Back in the late 70's and early 80's I had a pretty good band in the Bay Area. And Jamie Riddick was my guitar player. I played too, but he was the better player and I always counted on him to get it right. After that group (and some others) he went on to play the part of Keith in a touring Stones tribute band for the last 10 or 12 years. He lived a stones throw from the site of the Buddy Holly/Richie Valens/Big Bopper plane crash. He had three great big huge Great Danes that he was crazy about. I met him when he was a kid, not even old enough to buy a beer. He died last night from some heart condition. First one from this group to go... So in his honor I am posting this picture, which is the only one I can find showing Jamie and myself. Here he is playing a Les Paul through an Ampeg VT-22. Later he played a Telecaster most of the time.
