I wondered about posting something so personal and raw... TMI and all that. But now I'm glad I did.

So very sad for your loss...there's never a good time and it's even more difficult when something untoward happens that makes it come even more unexpectedly. RIP Scott.

So sorry. I feel your pain having been there several times and one just recently. It's the most impossible to deal with part of life and it never gets easy. Best to you.

Sorry for your loss. I'm the oldest of three and can't imagine losing one of them.

I'm sorry for your loss. Sounds like you two got on well, not all brothers do.
    Good memories. Be well.

All my thoughts and prayers to you and the whole family, Eric.

One of the hardest things to deal with, surely!

We lost my wife's younger brother this summer.
    Sudden heart attack.
No will, no paper trail, no bank accounts, just some cash and a lot of credit card debt.

    Very sad.

I’m sorry about your loss. All the things you describe going through are all the things we all go through when we lose a loved one unexpectedly. Just keep in mind that you need to forgive yourself. It’s the hardest thing to do. I went through it when my mother died. Our relationship had been a little strained just prior to her passing and it took a good deal of effort to get through the guilt.

Thanks. I think his son is going through a bit of that. He's a great kid (I say 'kid'.... he's 25!), but he could sometimes be sort of difficult, and smart alecky toward his parents. Now he's understandably regretting how he interacted with them at times. Hopefully, he learns from it and treats his mom like a queen from here forward.

I'm so sorry, that's just terrible. And such a fluky thing too. Life seems to throw things out of left field at times leaving you dumbstruck.
