I have no songs about me being a boyfriend.
I wrote a song called "The Bad Boyfriend Blues" for a friend back in the early '90s.
Lo-fi sound, cassette tape hiss, cymbals too splashy, no bass, but the guitar fills are pretty danged good, if I do say so myself. Like the solo at the end too.
Was playing a Strat back then, not a Tele.
"I'm gonna sell the b****'s car and buy myself a cool guitar"
"He will break your heart" or "He don't love you"
Exile in Guyville, tracks 1-18?
I despise that FLF.
Was about to post that. Great tune... I'm jealous that Joan doesn't hate me.
Love the Mick Taylor cameo too.
There's a Family Guy episode where Taylor falls in love with Chris. She starts singing songs of being in love. Her fans hate it. Chris helps her get back to singing about what a horrible BF he is and the fans go back to cheering her.
Keef, Willy Nelson, and Sheryl Crow
Came here to post Mr. Wrong and it’s literally the original post. Grapevines think alike.
I love the Descendents however Milo is kind of closer when it comes to women.
Here's one of many:
This is one of the most intense loser boyfriends songs I know of, it's Robin Lane and the Chartbusters ripping Sid Vicious for allegedly murdering his girlfriend Nancy Spungeon .... the rage and emotion come thru loud and clear in the vocals and guitar solos; original vid, and live at the Rat/Boston.
What no Buffett? Not his biggest fan but it's a classic .
