looping sound like Chorus...

    One thing I have discovered about looping is that if you try to play the same music over a loop, the result is a chorus sound.... like chorus pedal. .... because you can't do it perfectly, so there are micro seconds of difference between the notes.
    Is that what chorus really is? time differential? Listening to normal chorus, it sounds like micro note variance to me; flat... sharp etc...

    I guess part of Jaco Pastorius' sound was over dubbing live or something like that...

    Yes, chorus is a time-based effect.
