After trying to decide to get a Weber, Traeger, or Pit Boss the decision was made for me. Jackie ordered a Master Built 30” electric smoker. She got tired of me not making up my mind and her stepson has been raving about his. I was taken out of the equation.

It arrived at the shipper yesterday morning and should have made the boat. It’ll probably be on island next Monday and once it clears customs I get to go pick it up. I’m so ready to back into smoking meat.

Pix will come when it’s assembled and seasoned. Color me a happy camper

Oh, I thought you were taking on a roommate who goes through a pack of Lucky Strikes a day.

Love mine. Great results for the modest price.

If you have any questions, ask away.

Oh...If I had a nickel for every hillbilly buddy of mine who told me he and his wife were expecting using that exact sentence, I’d have enough for a pack of smokes !

Cool, congrats. I've been toying with that idea of getting one, it sounds like fun. My boss swears by them, I've had his cooking, his chicken from the smoker is the best I've ever had in my life.

Silly me, I was half-expecting something like this...kind of disappointed, actually.

That’s, I’ll keep this in mind

Years ago I had an old Mr Meat vertical smoker and loved it. I did everything from Salmon, venison, brisket, hams, roasts, ribs, chicken and even a duck on it. It finally rotted away. I bought the next and gave it to my brother when I headed back to the Caribbean.

My sister brought me a Brinkman copy but it never worked that well. I finally stowed it under the deck and forgot about it. After Maria when we were cleaning up the junk that had accumulated down there we decided “”off to the dump it goes”

So now I (will) have charcoal, propane, & electric for outside. All bases are covered

    Yep.
Flashed right back to when my college room mate got a new girlfriend.

    Didn’t last long.

Well it’s being delayed because someone (not me this time) forgot to get the invoice emailed to the shipper. It’ll ship next Tuesday and arrive here ion the 14th and clear customs 15th-17th

    Great smoker, I love mine.

    Couple of suggestions;
the pellets work well in this unit, just fill the little cylindrical insert and turn but it doesn't hold much. I usually throw a second bunch in there after four hours.
Use the bluetooth feature, I love the meat thermometer so I can see what the internal temp is.

I have not figured out how to "sear" using the upper element as of yet but i am still trying.

Keep that drip pan clean and ready, it catches a lot of the drippings but not all. I have a small metal pan that I use on a shelf just under the meat to catch the rest.

adjust that door, mine was a little loose when I first got it and I did not get a good seal so most of my glorious smoke went through the door and not out the top and past the meat.

Going on two years with mine now.
