Early this afternoon, I traded a non-musical item of about equal value for this very pretty Gretsch guitar.

    I think I did good.

    No. You did great.

I'm after a Torino green g2622t this year if I can't scoop a US tele made the year I was born. I've resisted the urge to buy gretsch since 2005. Cant put it off much longer....

    Very nice one!

I have one that looks similar. 2014 MIK Electromatic 5622T.

Pickups are different as well as the fret markers.

Serial number starts with KS14,,,,,, so I presume it means Korea Samick

Five knobs, three pickups, and two switches? That’s ridiculous. An abomination.

    I’ll take two.

    Nicely done.

My first serious guitar teacher when I was 10 or 11 had a Gretsch Anniversary, and that began my love for them. I've only had a couple of Electromatic Jets, and now I have a Squier Affinity Tele, that I turned into a kind of poor man's Cabronita, but I still want a double cutaway Jet.

That’s gorgeous and a straight up trade for a non-musical item? Such a deal. Personally I have a jones for a Gretsch in Cadillac green. I have to admit I clicked on this thread hoping you had gotten one of those. Then I would have guessed you traded a car for it, lol. Those babies are rare and spendy!

An advice a friend told me: Try pulling out some screws like in a Wide Range pickup three treble at the top coil and three bass ate the lower coil.

I liked it a lot... so much that in my 6120 I have the neck Filtertron very low and some screws rised like a Wide Range

It works, at least for me

Yup, I need to do my homework before I post. I didn’t realize there were so many options. Of course my eye immediately went to the 6128-57 DuoJet for $2,500. Champagne taste meet beer budget!

My son bought a black Electromatic Pro Jet (G5438T). I checked it out last week..plays great and sounds as good as it looks. But I noticed that the individual pickup volume controls do not "swell" like Fenders do and that most of the volume is (if the controls were numbered, but they aren't) in the 1-4 range. I have and understand the schematic of the control wiring, but it doesn't say if the pots are log or linear, or maybe reverse log which is how my ears hear them. The Master Volume does swell but it's located in a place that makes it impossible to use it readily for that purpose.
