Call me a cynic and a sceptic (because I am), but why/how is a 3D printed body cheaper than a timber one?

I'm not one to buy into tone woods and such when talking about electric guitars, but I think I'd rather have a guitar body made from wood. It's just.. nicer.

Saw these at winter NAMM and they cost an asinine amour of money. Could easily buy a Lentz, Kirn, or any other custom tele of choice plus some left for a new amp.

    That isn't the Point.
The Point is you can whip-up an E-lectric Guit-fiddle on Mars if thier Printer has enough Ink.

I could replace all seven of my guitars for $3500! Why so expensive? Is he using gold dust? :(

The necks are Warmoth, I think. It looks like all he does is makes the body and assembles it.
