Don't give us much to go on......
Is it a photo that might be in the Library of Congress? I believe you can still search their files.

Millions of photos out there ...

It's like saying, I'm looking for a woman I saw 50 years ago, do you know her ? We'd need more on at the very least what the subject is.

A certain image popped in my head while reading these posts. Does this photo involve a look of pain?

Here's THE Art photo you're surely looking for. No need to thank me, it's the least I can do for international relations.

Not sure what you're looking for but you might google some the of famous photography collections online and you might find it. Some of them are listed at below link. Just FYI I know Elton John has a world class collection with some very interesting and rare photos including a couple not readily available elsewhere.

Okay, I'll save you the trouble of searching the Library of Congress. I know, very controversial, but here it is without asking specifically:

    More clues please!

I studied history of photography and if it's a classic B&W....

Few photos have names per se. Some part of a portfolio and simple names like Tucson 1978 Stephen Shore.

If you feel the subject matter is too sensitive for the group feel free to PM me with more clues....

You're reluctance to add clues makes me think Robert Maplethorpe, Jock Sturges, Joel Pete Witkin... the list goes on and on of "objectionable" imagery...

Many of their images are not "family hour" subject matters...aside from Maplethorpes flowers...

This is ridiculous. Why can’t you simply describe the photo, even a little bit????
