I never take my guitars out of the house. But .I have them all over the house and under beds too. There was this Ebay seller who sold real inexpensive cases as well as a lot of guitars and parts.I can't think of the name of his place. It was in the U.S. I think up in New England.Does anyone know who I'm referring to. Thanks

Hmm, I'm not familiar with that seller, but rondomusic.com has some nice cases in the $60 range.

I use skb tsa cases because they are stackable and I do take them out of the house. I did notice some cheap softshell bags on ebay that look good value though.
They look like cloned skb and gator soft cases and go for around 50 to 60 bucks delivered. Probably good for home storage as long as the zippers don't crap out.
I'll probably get one for my next partscaster to save a few bucks. They are listed as foam guitar cases on ebay.

If taking them outside the home, just get something cheap to keep the dust away and maybe a little bit of light impact protection. If going outside, they need to be ready for harsh weather stints and morons....a much tougher case required.

Guitar Fetish is probably the outfit the OP is thinking of. They are in the western ‘burbs of Boston and sell cheap hard shell cases.

Fender FE 405 gig bag, about $30? Cheap and cheerful.

I use SG cases from GC whenever I can, they’re compact enough to store several together.

Think I paid $80 for Gator molded. Medium duty. Great for informal use

If you're keeping them at home, Crossrock cases from Amazon.
I have this one, my review compares it to a Fender vintage style case...same user names.

    I'm interested in buying either

Or at the high-end of what I'd spend, this Allen Eden case.

If you're just using the case for at home protection or the occasional transport in a car, there's really no really to spend more than $100.
    If I was a traveling musician I'd a flight-case.

Edit...I just went thru some of the cases at Guitarfetish.com. Now I want that paisley case.
I have a feeling the cases on Amazon, Guitarfetish, and some eBay seller are all made in the same factory in China.

    Hi.

I'm jealous of the choices you get in the US. I wanted something reputable and tough, something waterproof-able and something not too heavy as a gig bag. Plus I wanted to read about it in English. That left a choice of one! The Gator Go-Pro. Slightly larger than I'd have liked, but with a rain cover. It hoses down at times in Japan.

Probably not what you are after, as a bit bulky around the house, but if you're taking guitars out for walkies, I can recommend this model.
